Arkansas Short Term Rental Association
ASTRA is the voice for Arkansas short-term rental hosts, guests, and the local businesses that depend on them. We track the rules, push back on bad policy, and organize hosts to act before it's too late.
Why ASTRA Exists
Short-term rental rules in Arkansas are being written city by city, often with little notice to the hosts they affect most. Little Rock has already adopted new permitting and inspection requirements. Magnolia's city council is considering an ordinance that would hold short-term rentals to the same code as hotels and motels. And in the legislature, lawmakers are actively debating how much control cities should have over STRs at all.
ASTRA exists so hosts aren't finding out about these changes after they've already passed. We monitor local and state action, explain what it means in plain language, and give hosts a fast, organized way to speak up before decisions are final.

Arkansas has no single statewide short-term rental law — every city sets its own. What's allowed in one city may be restricted or banned in the next. Look up your city before you list, renew, or expand.
